The festival ticket price is £50. One month before the festival there may be further tickets costing £25 for one night's camping. One week before the festival tickets will be sold for Friday's Battle of the Sessions and the Saturday Night Gala for a £10 entrance fee, if available.
£15 goes to the festival site owner, Paul Draper, who is also Secretary of Rainford Junction Festival Community Interest Company. The festival has a 300 seater fixed floor marquee, a 100 seater function room, the run of a country pub and a camp site which will fit 500. 40% of the remaining £35 (£14) goes directly to the Rainford Junction Bluegrass and Old Time Youth Fund. The remainder £21 is spent on the current festival, on ensuring it continues and any other objective outlined in the company's CIC36 statement.(https://www.rainfordjunction.com/rainford-junction-festival-cic36) Any surplus is given to the youth fund.
Yes. We currently have two banks of 12 hook ups. These will be allocated to attendees with health and mobility problems first and any left over will be allocated at the festival gates on a first come first served basis. If demand exceeds our estimates we'll get some more.
This year we're going to have a large contingent of youngsters and, for safeguarding reasons, we are creating a Scratch Band Village. The Scratch Band Village is the centre of our festival site, a safeguarded community arranged round a communal picking area, where all the kids can get to join in the fun!
Because of this we have decided to build the rest of the festival site into communities, pre-planned areas of the festival site, arranged around the outside of the Scratch Band Village. If you're coming to Bresfest simply select that option when you buy your ticket, same goes for FOAOTMAD. If you any further preferences for where you want to stay and who you want to be close to drop a message into the ticket page and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Each community will have a central meeting point, open to the public, where the picking can continue all weekend!
